Born on 10 April 2000 in Sweden, Gustaf Lagerbielke is a sterling defender, adept at playing the central defender position for SC Braga. Standing tall at 6ft 3in (1.91m) and weighing about 12 st 8lb (80kg), Lagerbielke holds the wearer's right to the number 14 jersey. Apart from his club representation, Lagerbielke has also donned the blue and yellow for the Sweden national team.
According to Transfermarkt, Lagerbielke currently sits on a market value of roughly £4.3m.
Lagerbielke found his footing in the professional football world in January 2019, when he joined Sollentuna FK in the Division 2 league in Sweden. In January 2021, he made another domestic move, transferring from Sollentuna FK to Allsvenskan league's Vasteras SK. His growth was evident as, come August 2021, his services were sought after by IF Elfsborg, another team in the Allsvenskan league. Despite the details of the transfer fee remaining undisclosed, Lagerbielke made a promising start at IF Elfsborg, making an increasing number of first team appearances across his three seasons and even netting two goals.
In a brief interlude from his time at IF Elfsborg and subsequent return, Lagerbielke was dispatched on loan to Degerfors IF in 2022. His convincing performances there only enhanced his standing, as he made 14 appearances and scored three goals. Returning to IF Elfsborg, Lagerbielke seemed to have maintained his momentum, judging by his spectacular 2023 season, where he made 16 appearances and scored twice.
Following Lagerbielke's tenure at IF Elfsborg, in August 2023, a significant milestone in the form of the Scottish Premiership giants, Celtic FC, came calling. Attributing a cool £3m for his services, Lagerbielke made the move to Scotland. His debut season at Celtic in 2023/24 saw him make seven first-team league appearances.
Lagerbielke found himself on the move again in August 2024, this time on loan to Eredivisie's FC Twente in the Netherlands where he had a positive run, featuring in 20 matches and scoring once.
In July 2025, Lagerbielke permanently transferred from Celtic to SC Braga in Portugal's Liga Portugal, for a fee of around £2.2m. Shaping his current season (2025/26), Lagerbielke has made 18 first team appearances and netted two goals for SC Braga. Additionally, his participation in the World Cup Qualifiers Europe 2024 - 2026 for Sweden and a notable role in the Europa League Qualifiers 2025 - 2026 for SC Braga are standout moments in his career so far.
Throughout his career, Lagerbielke exhibited an ascending trajectory and his brief stint at Celtic demonstrated his readiness to perform at an elite level. Despite his move away from Celtic, Lagerbielke, no doubt, left an impression amongst the Hoops faithful during his time at the Parkhead.
