Gustaf Lagerbielke, born in Stockholm on 10 April 2000 (age 26), is an imposing Swedish centre-half at 6ft 3in (1.91m). His early senior progress took him through Degerfors IF, where his most productive league season came in 2022 with three goals in 14 appearances, before he moved on to IF Elfsborg.
Celtic signed him from Elfsborg in August 2023 for around £3m. His time in Glasgow was not long, but it did bring a Scottish Cup win, and that is not a negligible line on any Celtic CV. He left Celtic in July 2025, joining SC Braga for around £2m.
At Braga, Lagerbielke has remained part of the first-team picture rather than drifting into the background. Wearing the number four shirt, he has made 47 appearances across all competitions in 2025–2026, including 28 in Liga Portugal, with two league goals. He has also featured regularly in Europe, with five Europa League qualifying appearances and 14 more in the competition proper.
He has continued to be involved with Sweden as well, making six World Cup qualifying appearances this season and scoring once. His current market value is around £4.5m, according to Transfermarkt. His career to this point has taken him from Sweden to Celtic and then Braga, where he remains a regular senior defender.
