Hyunjun Yang, a forward hailing from the Korea Republic, took his first breath on the 25th of May 2002 and is now at the tender age of 23. His following season in 2022 saw a significant leap in his performance, with 36 first-team appearances and a tallying eight goals to his name. By the dawn of the 2023 season, Yang was resolute in his commitment with an additional 21 first-team appearances and a single goal notched up in league matches.
As the summer heat of July 2023 rolled in, so did a new chapter for Yang. He took the poignant step of transferring from Gangwon FC to claim his place in the Scottish Premiership, emphatically joining the ranks of the prestigious Celtic Football Club. Yang’s tenure in Scotland began on a promising note in the 2023-2024 season at Celtic, with 24 first team appearances and a goal.
