Ibrahim Sulemana is a Ghanaian central defensive midfielder, born on 22 May 2003 (age 23), with a market value of around £5m according to Transfermarkt. He is listed with Atalanta, but the useful substance of his senior career so far has been built elsewhere.
Cagliari has given Sulemana the clearest run of football. Across two league seasons there he has made 37 appearances and scored three goals, a fair return for a player whose main work sits in front of the defence rather than around the penalty box. His best league campaign came in 2023–2024, when he scored twice in 21 appearances.
The 2025–2026 season underlined the same point. After three league appearances for Bologna, Sulemana was back involved at Cagliari, making 16 league appearances and scoring once. That kept him as a regular first-team presence rather than another young midfielder drifting around the edge of a squad.
His career remains a developing one: Ghanaian, still young, and already with a solid Serie A grounding. For now, Cagliari is where his senior football has had most shape and relevance.
