Dolček began his professional football career in July 2017, joining Slaven Belupo in the HNL, the top football league in Croatia. There he made 31 first team appearances and scored three goals in league matches in the season of 2024-2025.
Shifting gears, Dolček transferred from Slaven Belupo to Hajduk Split, another HNL league team in Croatia, in July 2019 for an approximate fee of £450k. However, his first team appearances decreased in the following seasons, only playing ten matches in league games during the 2023-2024 season.
He then went on loan to Famalicao in the Liga Portugal, Portugal's top football league, in January 2022. Despite it being his debut season, he managed to make nine first team appearances and score one goal in league matches in the 2021-2022 season. He returned to Hajduk Split on completion of his loan in June 2022.
Shortly after, Dolček's journey took him to Sibenik, a team in the Druga HNL, under a loan agreement in July 2022. The change seemed to reinvigorate him as he managed to increase his league match appearances to 29 and score five goals in the 2022-2023 season. Following his successful stint, he returned once again to Hajduk Split.
Adventurous, Dolček embarked on another change in January 2024 and transferred to DAC Dunajská Streda in Slovakia's First Football League. The transfer fee hovered at around £280k. However, not long after, in August 2024, he went on loan to Slaven Belupo, making 31 first team appearances and scoring three goals in league matches in the 2024-2025 season. Post his triumphant return to Slaven Belupo, he once again joined DAC Dunajská Streda in June 2025.
In July 2025, Dolček transferred to Dundee United, a Premiership team in Scotland on a loan agreement. Currently in the 2025-2026 season, he has proudly made 23 first team appearances so far and has netted five goals in league matches.
He has also participated in Dundee United's campaign in the League Cup 2025-2026, Scottish Cup 2025-2026, and Conference League Qualifiers 2025-2026. He started in these competitions four times, came on as a substitute once, and has been an unmistakable presence on the field for Dundee United.
