Jack McConnell, born on the verdant hills of Scotland on the 20th June 2008, currently stands as a promising sentinel for the Motherwell Football Club at the tender age of 17. Sporting the number 41 jersey, McConnell, despite his age, demonstrates an astuteness and maturity which bellies the years of experience not yet under his belt.
It's always of interest to us here, when a player emerges from the cradle of Scotland, given our passion for the course of Celtic Football Club. Of course, as Motherwell isn't quite the hallowed ground of our beloved Hoops, young McConnell is yet to have his talents tested under the pressure of the Scottish Premiership.
Let us await with bated breath, fellow members of the green legion, for the day this earnest goalkeeper might join the long lineage of stalwart Celtic stoppers. May he continue to grow in skill and stature, both on the pitch and off, in the harsh yet rewarding crucible of Scottish Football. For now, we continue to watch, and we continue to hope.
