Jake Doyle-Hayes, born on 30 December 1998 (age 27), is a Republic of Ireland defensive midfielder now with Exeter City. His early senior football included loan spells that gave him the usual hard education away from academy football, more useful than glamorous.
His career has been shaped most clearly by Hibernian. Across four seasons at Easter Road, he made 53 league appearances and scored twice, with 2021-22 his busiest and most productive campaign: 34 league games and both of his league goals for the club. That spell gave him the substance of his senior career rather than just another line on it.
At Exeter City in 2025-26, Doyle-Hayes has yet to make a league appearance, though he has played once in the FA Cup. His career to this point is that of an established midfielder whose main body of work remains his Hibernian years.
