Jamie McCart is a Scottish central defender, born on 20 June 1997 (age 29), now with Hearts. His first football education came at Celtic, where he came through as a trainee before his senior career took shape elsewhere.
He left Celtic in July 2018 for Inverness CT, a practical move for a young defender needing regular football rather than a place on the margins. Spells with Inverness, Rotherham United and Hearts followed, but it was at St Johnstone that his career found its clearest shape.
