Jari De Busser, born on 21 October 1999 (age 26), is a tall Belgian goalkeeper at 6ft 3in (1.90m), and has become a regular part of the Go Ahead Eagles side. He wears squad number 22 and is valued at around £2.5m by Transfermarkt.
His career is now shaped mainly by his spell at Go Ahead Eagles. Across two league seasons he has made 50 league appearances, with the 2024-2025 campaign giving him 16 of those. In 2025-2026 he has been much more firmly involved, making 34 Eredivisie appearances, as well as featuring in the KNVB Beker, Johan Cruijff Schaal and Europa League.
That level of use keeps him relevant in the current side rather than merely attached to the squad. He has made 46 appearances in all competitions in 2025-2026, which is a fair indication of where he sits at the club.
De Busser was linked with a move to Celtic in May 2026 while at Go Ahead Eagles. At present, his profile remains that of a Belgian goalkeeper whose senior career has been defined by becoming a first-team regular in the Netherlands.
