Lössl's career started in earnest with FC Midtjylland in the Danish Superliga. He rapidly made his presence known, making 12 appearances in his debut 2009 - 2010 season. In total, during his first stint at the Danish side, he featured in 150 league matches from 2009 to 2014. His performances attracted attention beyond Denmark's borders, leading him to Guingamp in France. The move, made in July 2014, cost around £450,000.
