This continued into the following season of 2023-2024, where he appeared 24 times and netted a single goal. In the current season to date, 2024-2025, he has made five appearances.
In July 2022, after his successful loan, a permanent transfer from Hertha BSC to Gent was arranged, for a fee of around £3.2m. His tenure at Gent, following the permanent transfer, mirrored that of his loan period, with a strong showing in the 2022-2023 season (28 appearances, three goals), followed by a respectable performance in the 2023-2024 season (24 appearances, one goal). The current season of 2024-2025 has seen him take to the pitch five times already.
During his time at Gent, Torunarigha participated in the Pro League Play-Offs 2023-2024, making nine starts. He also featured in the Conference League Qualifiers 2024-2025 with two starts and one appearance coming off the bench, the Conference League 2023-2024 with two starts and three appearances as a substitute, and the Conference League 2024-2025 with one start.
