Josef Bursik, an Englishman born on 12 July 2000, currently keeps goal for Hibernian. Standing at a respectable 6ft 1in and weighing in at a solid 12st 1lb, Bursik commands the 18-yard box well. He is recognisable by his number 1 jersey.
Bursik joined Hibernian in the 2024-25 season, having already been active in the Premiership in two matches with two starts. He also prided himself with three starts in the League Cup during the same term.
Before his venture north to Scotland, Bursik found himself in England, defying aerial assaults at Stoke City. During the 2020-21 season, his debut year at Stoke, he recorded 15 first-team appearances. He followed this up neatly with 19 appearances in the 2021-22 season, and 16 appearances in 2022-23. Bursik's contributions cemented a sturdy position in the Potters' defensive formation.
