Julián Araujo, born on 13 August 2001 (age 24), is a Mexico international right-back whose career has been shaped most clearly by LA Galaxy. Early loan football helped move him towards senior level, but it was in Los Angeles that he became properly established.
Across four seasons with LA Galaxy, Araujo made 100 league appearances and scored once. His most productive league campaign came in 2020, when he scored that goal in 17 appearances. For a full-back, the point was never a gaudy return; it was the volume of football and the trust placed in him at a young age.
A move to Bournemouth followed, before Celtic brought him to Glasgow in January 2026. He was part of the squad that won the Premiership in 2025/26, adding a Scottish title to a career already built on regular first-team exposure rather than promise alone.
His current market value is around £7m, according to Transfermarkt. Araujo’s career to this point is essentially a Mexican international developed through LA Galaxy, tested in England, and then brought to Celtic as an established right-back.
