Born in Poland on 27 August 2001, Kacper Łopata, has carved out a bit of fine career for himself. Currently playing as a central defender for Ross County of the Scottish Premiership, Łopata has a commanding physical presence, standing 6ft 3in tall (1.92m) and weighing 12st 12lb (82kg), contributing to his powerful play on the field. He is donned with the number 20 jersey of his current outfit. His present market value is marked at £190k, as indicated by Transfermarkt. His stint with the Highland club, Ross County, is set to expire on 31 May 2025, with 6 months still left to serve.
In the October of 2018, Łopata began his journey towards professional football as a trainee with Brighton & Hove Albion. He developed his skills in this spell with the Premier League club, which would provide a solid foundation for his career. Two years later, in August 2020, a move to Championship side Sheffield United unfolded.
Then began a series of loans for Łopata, starting with a temporary migration to Southend United in the English National League in October 2021. He marked his debut season (2022 - 2023) with 22 first team appearances and found the back of the net once. Upon completion of his loan, he returned to Sheffield United in March 2022.
Notable, is the fact that Łopata made a full switch to Southend United in September 2022, reaffirming his role there for another season. However, a subsequent transfer occurred in March 2023, this time to Woking, another club competing in the English National League. Just a few short months after, in July 2023, Łopata joined Barnsley in England’s League One.
Bouncing around continued when in February 2024 Łopata was loaned out to Port Vale in the League Two and then returned to Barnsley in June 2024. However, by August 2024, he again packed his bags, this time heading to Scotland for a loan spell with Ross County in the Scottish Premiership. This season (2024 - 2025), Łopata has earned 11 first team league appearances for The Staggies. Sadly, no stint at the Celtic Park is recorded for Łopata, something which might have added a bit more sparkle to his career summary and endeared him more so to the Celtic faithfuls.
