Kevin Bonifazi, born on 19 May 1996, currently aged 29, is a stalwart of the Italian football scene. Hailing from Italy, Bonifazi has carved out a reputation as a competent defender, primarily occupying the role of a central defender. Bonifazi currently plies his trade for Bologna, a member of the Serie A fraternity. Standing tall at 6ft 1in (1.87m) and tipping the scales at 13st 3lb (84kg), Bonifazi presents an imposing figure on the football pitch.
The currency of football these days is not only in trophies but also in player valuations. According to the well-regarded football database Transfermarkt, as of present, Bonifazi carries a market value in the region of £680k (€750k), a testament to his qualities and longevity in the game.
The Italian defender began his professional journey in earnest with SPAL in Italy back in the 2016-2017 season. In his debut season, he enjoyed pitch time on 20 occasions and managed to net an impressive three goals, a healthy return for a defender in his maiden outing.
His performances caught the eye of Torino, who secured his services in the 2017-2018 season. However, opportunities were limited at Torino, with Bonifazi making just six first team appearances. A return to SPAL in the following 2018-2019 season saw him make a much more sizable contribution with 27 appearances and two goals to his name.
His career has since seen him turn out for various other Italian sides, including a second stint at Torino, two more spells at SPAL, a term at Udinese and finally at Bologna, where he has made 36 first team appearances thus far since the 2021-2022 season. Along the way he also spent time at Frosinone and Lecce, making six and three first team appearances respectively. Despite the 2025-2026 season being somewhat of a quiet one with no appearances for Bologna as yet, there is little doubt that Bonifazi has amassed a wealth of experience and will continue to be a notable figure in Italian football.
