Kion Etete, born on 28 November 2001 (age 24), is an English striker with a commanding frame at 6ft 5in (1.96m). His career has been shaped above all by Cardiff City, where he has had the bulk of his senior football and where his progress has been easiest to measure.
At Cardiff, Etete has made 56 league appearances across three seasons, scoring six league goals. His most productive league campaign came in 2022-23, when he scored three times in 28 appearances – modest enough, but still the clearest spell of output in his senior career so far.
The 2025-26 season has been harder going. He has made 14 appearances in all competitions for Cardiff, including 11 in League One, one in the League Cup and two in the EFL Trophy, without a goal. His current market value is around £765,000, according to Transfermarkt.
Etete remains a developing centre-forward whose career, to this point, is largely a Cardiff City story: plenty of senior minutes, a clear physical profile, and still a need for more consistent scoring at first-team level.
