Kion Etete

Kion Etete of St Mirren was born in Derby, England on 28 November 2001 (age 24).

Born on the 28th of November 2001, Kion Etete is an English forward presently weaving his magic for St Mirren. Boasting an imposing frame, he's 6ft 5in tall (approximately 1.96m) and weighs in at 12st 8lb (roughly 80kg). He is the powerhouse behind the number 29 jersey. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €900k (around £765,000).

Etete's journey in professional football commenced in July 2018 with Notts County in League Two. Amid the chaotic churning of League Two, Etete honed his skills as a trainee under the watchful eyes of seasoned veterans.

A year later, in July 2019, a new chapter unfolded in Etete's career as he was transferred from Notts County to the behemoth of English football, Tottenham Hotspur, for an undisclosed fee. Yet, the dense competitive atmosphere of the Premier League awaited him.

Nevertheless, in August 2021, he was loaned to Northampton Town in League One, followed by Cheltenham Town in January 2022 for similar purposes. As a player, this phase of movement and adaptation would have been crucial in his development, moulding him into a more versatile and robust asset.

Later in August 2022, he moved from Tottenham Hotspur to Cardiff City in the League One. Unsurprisingly, his debut season for Cardiff (2022 - 2023) saw him make 28 appearances and score three goals, a feat he replicated in the following season (2023 - 2024).

Etete's years of experience eventually led him to Bolton Wanderers in January 2025 and Rotherham United in August 2025, both on loan from Cardiff City. After fruitful periods with both clubs, he returned to Cardiff.

Eventually, in January 2026, the call from Scotland's Premiership team, St Mirren, came. Kion Etete was transferred on loan where he has so far made four appearances in the current season (2025 - 2026). He also marked his presence in the Scottish Cup 2025 - 2026 for St Mirren with one appearance as a substitute.

As a conclusion, Etete's journey is a classic example of the constant movement and adaptation footballers undergo in their careers, reflecting the essence of a modern-day footballer's life.
