Koni De Winter is a Belgian central defender, born on 12 June 2002 (age 24), and now with AC Milan. Commanding at 6ft 3in (1.91m), he wears squad number 5 and is valued at around £19.5m by Transfermarkt.
His career has been shaped most clearly at Genoa. Across two league seasons there, De Winter made 54 league appearances and scored three goals, giving him the run of senior football that turned him from a promising defender into a more established Serie A player. His best attacking return came in 2024-25, when he scored three times in 25 league matches.
At AC Milan, he has started 2026-27 with three appearances across all competitions, including two in Serie A and one in the Supercoppa. It is still early in that spell, but the move places him at a club where the demands on a young centre-half tend to be fairly unforgiving.
De Winter’s profile remains that of a developing Belgian defender with his main body of work still rooted in Genoa, and his next stage now depends on how far he can push into AC Milan’s side.
