Kostas Tsimikas, born on 12 May 1996 (age 30), is a Greek left-back best known for his spell at Liverpool, though an important part of his development came before he reached that level.
His loan at Willem II in 2017-2018 gave him regular senior football and a bit more end product than is usually attached to his game. He made 33 league appearances and scored three goals, still his most productive league season. It was the sort of spell that does more for a young full-back than sitting politely in a squad and waiting for scraps.
At Liverpool, Tsimikas has largely been used as a left-back option rather than an automatic starter. In 2025-2026 he has made no league appearances, which gives a fair indication of where he currently sits at club level. His market value is around £15.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
He has remained involved with Greece, making six appearances in European World Cup qualifying this season and scoring once. His career has been shaped by a useful early loan, a long spell around a high-level Liverpool squad, and continuing international football with Greece.
