Footballer Kyogo Furuhashi was born on 20th January 1995 in Japan and currently plays as a striker for Birmingham City, donning the No. 9 jersey. Standing at 5ft 6in (1.7m) and weighing 9st 12lb (63kg), the forward has also had the honour of representing the Japanese national team.

His professional career kicked off in January 2017 after joining the ranks of FC Gifu, a club in the lower tiers of Japanese football. In his debut season, he saw the field 24 times and found the net on five occasions.
Impressive performances earned Furuhashi a move to the J1 club, Vissel Kobe in July 2018, with a price tag of around £140,000. During his tenure with Kobe, he made numerous appearances and demonstrated his scoring prowess, manifesting an upswing in his performance with each passing season, from scoring five goals in 13 first-team appearances in 2018 to adding 15 goals in 21 appearances by 2021.
The surgical precision Furuhashi exhibited in front of the goal caught the attention of Scottish club, Celtic. In 2021, he was secured for a sum of £4.6m. The next four years were spent in Scotland carving out goal after goal, his best stint being the 2022 - 2023 season where he made net ripple 27 times in 36 appearances.
His time at Celtic came to an end in January 2025, when he transferred to Rennes in France's Ligue 1 for £10m. However, his time in France was short-lived as he moved to Birmingham City on an undisclosed fee half a year later.
As of the 2025 - 2026 season, Furuhashi has made 21 first-team appearances for Birmingham City. In addition, he also represented his club in the 2025 - 2026 League Cup, scoring one goal during his tenure, and represented Japan in the 2024 - 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Asia, entering the field on two separate occasions as a substitute.
