Leon McCann, the sprightly 24-year-old defender, was born in the heartland of Scotland on the 16th of March, 2000. As a prominent figure in the Falkirk defensive line-up, McCann primarily commits to his role as a left back. With a height measuring at 5ft 7in (1.71m) and weighing in at 10st 3lb (65kg), his athletic build complements his agile performances on the pitch. Known for donning the number 3 jersey, McCann has become a recognizable face at the stadium.
According to his current agreement, McCann's contract with Falkirk has a remaining tenure of 1 year and 8 months, penned in to conclude its run on the 31st of May, 2026.
Mccann's transition from Hamilton Academical to Airdrieonians initially began in August 2019 as a loan agreement in the Scottish Championship. Within just a year, this temporary settlement evolved into a permanent deal in January 2020, for which the transfer fee remains undisclosed. However, a year later in July 2021, McCann was on the move again, this time transferring from Airdrieonians to establish himself with Falkirk, still competing within the Scottish Championship.
In his inaugural season with Falkirk (2022-2023), McCann aided his team's effort with an impressive 25 first team appearances in league matches, scoring one goal. Fast forward to the current season of 2024-2025, McCann has already made his presence felt with four first team appearances.
McCann also had the honour of participating in the Scottish Cup during the 2023-2024 season with Falkirk, in which he started in one match. His performance continues to shine in the current season, promising a successful continuation in his football career.
