Picture the scene - a crisp April morning in 2003, some part of Scotland stirs as Liam Morrison emerges into the world, completely unaware that he's destined for a life of chasing an inflated leather object around a rectangle of grass. Now, fast forward to a 22-year-old Morrison, slightly taller and heavier, standing at 6ft (1.83m) and tipping the scales at 11st 11lb (75kg).
Fate, it seems, had decreed he'd spend his working hours organised in a huddle in a back four, specifically in the heart of it as a central defender. In a shambling attempt at originality, Morrison dons the number 23 jersey for Aberdeen or, as the team is affectionately known, the 'Not Celtic'.
Apparently, his current market value is roughly around the £1m mark, or so the sagacious folks at Transfermarkt would have you believe.
In the 2024-2025 season, Morrison made the perilous journey south to Queens Park Rangers in England. And, as luck or lack thereof would have it, he appeared 19 times for the first team, thereby critically advancing in his quest to obliviously chase a ball. In the current season, 2025-2026, despite presumably having learnt all there is to not learning anything new at Queens Park Rangers, he has made a further 12 first team appearances.
In an inexplicably surprising twist, Morrison has been seen in an Aberdeen shirt once during the 2025-2026 season. Although, to be fair, one can only spend so much time chasing a sphere before the novelty starts waning.
