Lucas Da Cunha, born on 9 June 2001 (age 24), is a French central midfielder whose senior career has come to be shaped mainly by Como. His early loan football helped move him out of the academy-and-promise bracket, but it is in Italy that his career has taken proper form.
At Como, he has become a regular rather than a passing name. Across four seasons he has made 121 league appearances and scored 18 league goals, with his strongest attacking return coming in 2023–24, when he scored seven times in 35 league games. That is the spell that gives his career its weight.
He remains involved in the current Como side, with 36 Serie A appearances and six goals in 2025–26. Transfermarkt values him at around £8.5m, which reflects a player no longer being judged on potential alone.
Da Cunha’s career is still relatively compact: early development loans, then a sustained run at Como, where he has become an important first-team midfielder and a consistent presence in Serie A.
