Lucas Digne, born on 20 July 1993 (age 32), is a French left-back with Aston Villa, where he wears number 12 and remains a regular part of the first-team picture in 2025-26.
His most productive league campaign came at Everton in 2018-19, when he scored four goals in 35 appearances. That season showed the attacking side of his game without turning him into something he is not: a full-back whose value has mostly been in reliability, delivery and experience rather than noise.
At Villa, Digne has kept his place in a busy season. He has made 31 Premier League appearances, two in the FA Cup and 11 in the Europa League, taking him to 44 appearances in all competitions, without scoring. He has also remained involved with France, making three European World Cup qualifying appearances this season.
His current market value is around £10m, according to Transfermarkt. Digne’s career is that of an established French international full-back who has stayed relevant at Premier League level into his early thirties.
