Luka Modrić, born on 9 September 1985 (age 40), is a Croatian centre midfielder now with AC Milan. His career has had other stops and late turns, but it is shaped above all by Real Madrid, where he made 394 league appearances and scored 30 league goals across 13 seasons.
Before that long Madrid spell, his most productive league season came at Dinamo Zagreb in 2007–08, when he scored 13 goals in 25 appearances. It remains the clear attacking spike in a career more commonly associated with control, rhythm and durability in midfield.
