Malik Dijksteel, born on the 8th of July 2001, is a 24-year-old forward who primarily plays as a right winger. Hailing from the Netherlands, Dijksteel currently sports the number 18 jersey at St Mirren, a Premiership club located in Scotland. Standing at a height of 5ft 9in (1.76m) and weighing around 11st 6lb (73kg), Dijksteel is a force to reckon with on the football field.
With his expertise and skill, Dijksteel has garnered a current market value of around £64k, according to Transfermarkt.
Prior to joining St Mirren, Dijksteel laid the foundations of his career at Telstar, a club in the Eredivisie in Netherlands. His tenure at Telstar began in July 2020 and was followed by a series of transfers across clubs in different leagues. In February 2021, he moved from Telstar to Middlesbrough in the Championship in England. The following two years saw him play for Wrexham in the Championship in England, before finally moving to Cork City in the First Division in the Republic of Ireland in August 2023.
During his time at Cork City, Dijksteel took to the field eight times in his debut season 2023 and followed it up with a ten-game run in the succeeding season, where he scored his debut goal. However, Dijksteel’s stint at Cork City was short-lived as he transferred to St Mirren in the Premiership in Scotland in July of 2025 for an undisclosed fee.
In the current 2025-2026 season at St Mirren, Dijksteel has already completed eight first-team appearances in league matches. In addition, he has participated in the League Cup and the Scottish Cup for St Mirren, making two appearances as a substitute in both competitions.
