Manny Perez, born 19 February 1999 (age 27), is an American right-back from North Carolina. He joined Celtic in January 2019 from NC State, a move that gave him a European platform but not a lasting first-team role in Glasgow.
His Celtic spell was followed by a move to Portland Timbers in April 2021. The more useful league football around that period came at North Carolina in 2020, when he made 14 appearances and scored once – still his most productive league season in front of goal. After Portland, he also had a spell with AC Horsens before settling into a more substantial role back in the United States.
That role came at Louisville City, where his career has taken its clearest shape. Across two seasons he made 66 league appearances, scoring one league goal, and became established there as a regular right-back rather than a player passing through.
Perez’s career has moved from NC State to Celtic, then through Portland Timbers and AC Horsens, but Louisville City has provided the main body of his senior football so far.
