Born in Serbia on the 22nd of January 2004, ace forward Marko Lazetić is now a commanding presence in the Aberdeen lineup, typically playing as striker and sporting the number 27 jersey. At a robust 6ft 3in (1.92m) and a weight of 12st 8lb (80kg), Lazetić is difficult to overlook on the field. His current market value is around £680k, as reported by Transfermarkt.
Lazetić's career began in earnest when he joined Red Star in the SuperLiga in Serbia in July 2018. His first season, 2020 - 2021, saw him make only one first team appearance in league matches. However, he went on to make 14 and further proved his prowess by netting one goal in the following season.
In February 2021, Lazetić went on loan to Graficar in the First League in Serbia where he made 14 first team appearances, enhancing his reputation by striking four goals. Upon completion of his loan spell in July 2021, he returned to Red Star on, adding another one goal from 14 appearances to his record.
January 2022 marked Lazetić's first international transfer. He moved from Red Star to the famed AC Milan in the Serie A in Italy. His time at Milan was however short-lived and he was soon loaned out, making one first team appearance before having a moderately successful loan spell at SCR Altach in the Bundesliga in Austria where he played ten times.
Back from loan, Lazetić made another single appearance for Milan before being loaned out again, this time to Fortuna Sittard in the Eredivisie in Netherlands in August 2023. Here, he made eight appearances. A brief return to Milan saw him make another lone appearance before spending a season on loan at TSC in the SuperLiga in Serbia. At TSC, Lazetić demonstrated his striking abilities with two goals from 32 appearances.
Aberdeen in the Premiership in Scotland became Lazetić's new home in August 2025. Here, he has already carved out a niche for himself with four goals from 24 appearances in the current season, 2025 - 2026. Aside from pleasing the fans with his league performances, Lazetić has also featured in the League Cup, Scottish Cup, and Conference League for Aberdeen.
