Martin Baturina, born on 16 February 2003 (age 23), is a Croatian centre midfielder now with Como, where he wears squad number 20. Compact at 5ft 5in (1.64m), he is the sort of midfielder whose game has had to be built on touch, timing and movement rather than physical imposition.
His career is still overwhelmingly associated with Dinamo Zagreb. Across three league seasons there he made 99 league appearances and scored 15 goals, with 2022–23 his most productive campaign: six goals in 34 league matches. That spell gave his career its proper shape, rather than merely a starting point.
At Como, Baturina has remained a regular presence in 2025–26. He has made 29 Serie A appearances, scoring six goals, and added five Coppa Italia outings with two goals, taking him to 34 appearances and eight goals in all competitions for the club. His market value is around £18.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Baturina’s career so far is a Dinamo Zagreb-developed one now being tested in Italy. He is established enough to be judged on regular senior football, but still young enough for the next few seasons to decide the level he settles at.
