Born on 25th April 1993 in Scotland, Martin Boyle is a forward who's made a name for himself playing as a right winger for Hibernian Football Club. Standing at 5ft 10in (1.78m) tall and weighing 11st (70kg), Boyle has the physical attributes that contribute to his performance on the pitch. He is typically seen donning the number 10 jersey for Hibernian. Interestingly, Boyle's talent isn't confined to the Scottish borders as he has also had the honour of representing the Australia national team.
Martin Boyle's football journey kicked off in July 2009, when he joined Montrose as a trainee in Scotland's League One. He featured five times for the first team in the debut season, in 23 games in 2010-2011 where he netted three goals, in 36 matches in 2011-2012 scoring an impressive 22 goals, and in 15 games in the 2012-2013 season where he struck nine times.
In August 2012, Boyle made a transfer from Montrose to Dundee in the Premiership, for a fee that remains undisclosed. Despite playing for Dundee in the 2012-2013 season and beyond, Boyle had a brief spell back at Montrose in January 2013 on loan. He then returned to Dundee in May 2013, after his loan at Montrose had concluded.
In January 2015, Boyle was loaned from Dundee to Hibernian, another Premiership club. He soon made his mark at the Edinburgh-based club, putting in solid performances season after season - his goal output ranged from three to eight per season. His performance was noteworthy enough for Hibernian to cement his place permanently by transferring him from Dundee in July 2015.
Boyle's stint at Hibernian was momentarily interrupted in January 2022 when he was transferred to Al-Faisaly in Saudi Arabia's First Division for a fee around £3m - the club's Arabian journey was short-lived, with Boyle returning to Hibernian in August 2022.
Throughout his career, Boyle has participated in several competitions, including the League Cup 2025-2026 for Hibernian, where he had two starts, and the Scottish Cup 2025-2026 for Hibernian where he came on as a substitute. Internationally, he has represented Australia in the World Cup Qualifiers Asia 2024-2026, managing to score two goals in seven starts, and at Hibernian, he played in the Europa League Qualifiers 2025-2026 and the Conference League Qualifiers 2025-2026, where he scored three goals in four starts.
