Scottish forward Martin Boyle was born on 25 April, 1993, and is the proud wearer of the number 10 jersey for Hibernian. Standing at 5ft 10in (1.78m) and weighing in at 11st (70kg), Boyle primarily delivers his skills as a right winger. Born and raised in Scotland, the sport of football was a clear calling for Boyle.
In July 2009, Boyle signed as a trainee for League One Scottish team, Montrose. His debut season in 2009 - 2010 saw Boyle take his first steps with five first team appearances in league matches. However, his performance and skills grew substantially over his time at Montrose, with his third season (2011 -2012) enabling him to make 36 first team appearances and bag 22 goals.
As his star was rising, Dundee, in the Scottish Premiership, transferred Boyle in August 2012 for an undisclosed fee. His time at Dundee was highlighted with 29 first team appearances and four goals scored in the 2013 - 2014 season. A brief loan back to Montrose in January 2013, only seemed to enhance Boyles' on-pitch prowess.
By January 2015, Boyle was transferred, still on loan, to Hibernian - also in the Scottish Premiership. His time here allowed him to continue to develop as a player making 34 first team appearances and scoring eight goals in the 2016 - 2017 season. Finally, in July 2015, Dundee officially handed their star over and Boyle transferred permanently to Hibernian.
By the January 2022, Boyle made his international transfer from Hibernian to Al-Faisaly in the First Division in Saudi Arabia for around £3m. Unfavourably, this venture lasted a short eight months before Boyle made his way back to the Scottish Premiership, transferring back to his former club Hibernian for an undisclosed fee.
As of the current 2024 - 2025 season, Boyle has made 13 first team appearances and has scored two goals. His performance in the League Cup 2024 - 2025 for Hibernian caught attention with him scoring three goals in five starts, and he also made an impact in the Scottish Cup 2023 - 2024 for Hibernian, scoring a goal in two starts. Consequently, Martin Boyle continues to play his part in the fabric of Scotland's football culture while developing his personal sporting legacy.
