Maxi Araújo, an Uruguayan forward of some reputation, was born on the 15th of February, 2000. Now aged 25, Araújo has held his professional career with a number of respected teams and currently reigns in Sporting CP, primarily commanding the left wing. Standing at 5ft 9in (1.77m), and having a body weight of about 11st 9lb (74kg), Araújo certainly cuts an imposing figure upon the field. Under the emerald and white banner of Sporting CP, Araújo made his mark in the 2024 - 2025 season, making 28 appearances, and netting 3 times. He will continue to represent Sporting CP into the 2025 - 2026 season.
Internationally, Araújo represented Uruguay in the World Cup Qualifiers for South America 2024 - 2026, starting in 14 matches and appearing as a substitute once. Moreover, he played in the 2024 Copa America, where he notably scored 2 goals in 6 starts.
