Mërgim Vojvoda was born on 1 February 1995 (age 31) and represents Kosovo. A full-back by trade, he has usually been used on the left for Como, though his career has had enough variation across the back line to keep him useful rather than ornamental.
He came through at Standard Liège, with early loan spells away from the club helping turn him from a prospect into a senior footballer. Those moves mattered: Vojvoda needed games, not a reputation, and his development was built through first-team football before he later established himself more firmly in Belgium.
His Italian move came with Torino, where he had his most productive league season in 2020-2021, scoring two goals in 24 appearances. He was never a headline act there, but he became a reliable Serie A player, which is a decent enough achievement without anyone needing to dress it up.
Vojvoda is now at Como and remains a regular first-team presence in 2025-2026. He has made 34 appearances in all competitions for the club this season, scoring twice, including 30 Serie A appearances and four in the Coppa Italia. He has also stayed involved internationally, making eight appearances for Kosovo in European World Cup qualifying.
His current market value is around £2.5m, according to Transfermarkt. From Standard’s academy and early loans to Torino and Como, Vojvoda’s career has been shaped by steady senior football rather than noise.
