Michael Gardyne, born 23rd January 1986, in Scotland, was a central midfielder by profession. He stands 5ft 7in (1.71m) tall and weighs 10st 1lb (64kg). He began his football journey as a trainee at Celtic Football Club in July 2004, where he played until his transfer to Ross County on loan in August 2006.
During his time at Ross County, Gardyne made a significant contribution to the squad. He made 32 first team appearances scoring six goals in the 2006 - 2007 season. Scoring records of the following seasons reveal that he was indeed a seasoned veteran for the team. Scoring four goals with 16 appearances in the 2007 - 2008 season, the midfielder continued his consistent performance over the years.
The peak of his career came in the 2011-2012 season while still at Ross County, where he made 34 first team appearances and scored an impressive total of 13 goals in league matches.
In the 2014 - 2015 season, Gardyne continued to maintain his no-nonsense football style by netting six goals through 24 first team appearances. Seasons 2015 - 2016, 2016 - 2017, 2017 - 2018, continued to witness the impact that Gardyne had on the team even through shifts and changes within the squad.
In August 2007, Gardyne transferred from Celtic in the Scottish Premiership to Greenock Morton, where he made nine first team appearances in the 2007 - 2008 season. January 2008 saw Gardyne return to Ross County from Greenock Morton.
Not long after, in July 2012, Gardyne made another move, this time, from Ross County in the Scottish Championship to Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership. During his time at Dundee United, in the 2012-2013 season, Gardyne made 30 first team appearances and scored three goals in league matches. However, Gardyne's journey didn't stop there.
He was loaned to Kilmarnock in August 2013, where he made 23 first team appearances and scored one goal in the 2013 - 2014 season, before once again returning to Ross County on loan in September 2014. In July 2015, Gardyne transferred for the final time from Dundee United to Ross County where he continued his on-field exploits.
Gardyne's career trajectory saw another shift when he transferred from Ross County in the Scottish Championship to Inverness CT in the Scottish League One in July 2021. Within a matter of months, however, Gardyne found himself shifting clubs once again, this time transferring from Inverness CT to Montrose in January 2022 in the Scottish League One.
During the 2022 - 2023 season at Montrose, Gardyne made 21 first team appearances and scored one goal in league matches before notably ending his professional playing career in June 2025 transferring from Montrose in the Scottish League One.
