Born in France on 12th July 1996, Moussa Dembele currently plays as a forward for Al-Ettifaq. Standing at a tidy 6ft (1.83m) and tipping the scales at 12st 6lb (79kg), Dembele has proved himself a considerable presence in the footballing world.
In 2012, Dembele embarked on his professional career at Fulham, in the Premier League. He had a steady start, with two first-team appearances in the 2013-2014 season, increasing to 11 in the 2014-2015 season. However, it was the 2015-2016 season that marked a breakout year for Dembele, as he made 43 appearances and netted 15 times.
July 2016 saw Dembele transferred to Celtic in the Premiership for an estimated £500k. His time at Celtic spanned from the 2016 to 2019 seasons. In his first season, he made 29 first-team appearances and scored an impressive 17 goals. The subsequent season witnessed Dembele maintaining his momentum, making 25 appearances and scoring nine times, while the 2018-2019 season was cut short with a solitary appearance.
In August 2018, Dembele dashed across the channel to join Lyon in Ligue 1, fetching an impressive £20m in transfer fees. Over five seasons with Lyon, Dembele held a strong record with regular first team appearances and consistent goal-scoring ability, managing a tally of 21 goals during the 2021-2022 season.
A brief loan to Atletico Madrid in La Liga for the 2020-2021 season saw five appearances in league matches for Dembele. He then returned to Lyon following the completion of his loan before making a move to Al-Ettifaq in the Pro League in July 2023.
His current season with Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia, spanning 2025-2026, has so far seen him make three appearances, adding a goal to his tally to maintain his reputation as a regular contributor to the scoresheet.
