Born on 1 July 2001, Ukrainian forward Mykola Kukharevych is currently plying his trade with Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership, wearing the number 99 jersey. At a towering 6ft 3in (1.93m) and weighing 12st 6lb (79kg), Kukharevych is a formidable presence on the field.
Kukharevych embarked on his football career as a trainee with Volyn Lutsk in the Persha Liha in Ukraine, joining their ranks in July 2014. He then made a move to Rukh Lviv in the Premier League in Ukraine in February 2020 for an undisclosed fee. During his debut season (2019-2020), Kukharevych accounted for two goals in six first team appearances; his next season (2020-2021) saw him repeating the feat whilst making 18 team appearances.
July 2021 saw Kukharevych move once again, this time to Troyes in the Ligue 2 in France--yet again, for an undisclosed fee. His time there saw him make only two first team appearances in league matches in the season of 2021-2022. August of the same year marked Kukharevych's short-loan spell with Oud-Heverlee Leuven in the Pro League in Belgium. Over two seasons (2021-2023), Kukharevych made a total of 10 first team appearances for the Belgian team.
In September 2022, Kukharevych was on the move once again, transferring on loan to the Scottish side, Hibernian. His 2022-2023 season there saw him make 15 first team appearances, netting the ball five times. The current season (2024-2025) has thus far seen him become a regular feature in the team, with 14 first-team appearances and three successful strikes on the scoreboard.
After a brief stint with Swansea City in the Championship in England, for which he transferred in July 2023 from Troyes for an undisclosed fee, Kukharevych found himself back at Hibernian in August 2024 on loan. His track record at Hibernian during the 2023-2024 season mirrored his previous stint, scoring one goal in ten first team appearances in league matches.
Furthermore, Kukharevych made a memorable mark in the League Cup 2024-2025 for Hibernian, securing one goal in a sole start. No doubt, his time at Hibernian has been marked by his considerable contribution to the team's attempted ascendance.
