Nadir Ciftci arrived at Celtic from fellow Scottish Premiership side Dundee United in the 2015 summer transfer window. The forward put pen to paper on a four-year deal at Paradise having scored 14 league goals in the previous campaign for United. The 23-year-old became Celtic manager Ronny Deila’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window following in the footsteps of Dedryck Boyata, Saidy Janko and Logan Bailly. On completion of his transfer, Ciftci was handed the Celts’ No7 jersey.
Ciftci made his debut in the Celts’ pre-season friendly with Real Sociedad where he provided an assist for Gary Mackay-Steven to score the only goal of the game.
