Nathanael Mbuku, born on 16 March 2002 (age 24), is a DR Congo winger with Augsburg. Compact at 5ft 7in (1.70m), he has mainly played from the right, where his game has been built more around movement and quick changes of direction than any great physical presence.
His senior profile was first shaped at Reims. The 2020-21 league season remains his most productive, with four goals in 32 appearances, a decent return for a young wide player still finding out what kind of career he was going to have. Those early spells mattered: regular football, even without spectacular numbers, gave him a base rather than just a promise.
At Augsburg, his 2025-26 league picture has been quiet. He has not made a league appearance, though he has four appearances and one goal in all competitions for the club. His market value is around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Mbuku has also been involved with DR Congo this season, making six African World Cup qualifying appearances and scoring once. His career so far is that of an established professional still trying to turn early senior exposure into a more settled place at club level.
