Nectarios Triantis, born on 11 May 2003 (age 23), is an Australian defensive midfielder with Minnesota United. A commanding 6ft 3in (1.91m), he is primarily used in central areas, where his size gives him an obvious physical base without needing much embellishment.
His most productive league spell so far came at Hibernian in 2024–25, when he scored three goals in 34 appearances. That was a useful season rather than a spectacular one, but it gave him proper senior football and a clear role in a demanding league.
Triantis is now part of the first-team picture at Minnesota United, wearing squad number 25. He has made 15 MLS appearances and four more in the MLS Cup Play Offs, scoring twice across those 19 matches. He has also been involved with Greece this season, making one appearance in European World Cup qualifying.
His current market value is around £638,000, according to Transfermarkt. At this stage, his career is still being shaped: a solid Hibs season, a regular role in Minnesota, and enough international recognition to keep him relevant beyond club level.
