Nikola Moro, born on 12 March 1998 (now 27), hails from Croatia and is currently a central defensive midfielder for Bologna. Moro stands 6ft (1.83m) tall and weighs 12st 3lb (78kg). His talent on the on the pitch is acknowledged by his number 6 jersey and his representation of the Croatia national team.
Moro's current market value stands around £5.5m, as Transfermarkt states. His football journey commenced in July 2015 when he joined Dinamo Zagreb in the HNL in Croatia as a budding talent. During his debut season of 2015-2016, he made a single first-team appearance and in the following season, he marked his presence with 15 appearances and a goal to his name. The 2017-2018 season had Moro in a dry spell with no appearances but another goal to his credit.
In August 2020, Moro made a move from Dinamo Zagreb to Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Premier League for a fee of about £7.7m. In his inaugural season there, he played 24 matches and scored three goals. The following season, Moro was on the field for 28 league matches with a singular goal. His third season saw him partaking in only six matches.
August 2022 saw Moro migrate on loan, from Russia to Italy, and he sported the Bologna jersey in the Serie A. In his first season of 2022-2023 at Bologna, Moro made 26 league appearances and found the back of the net once. The subsequent seasons of 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 saw Moro consistently getting on the field for 23 and 22 matches respectively, again with a single goal in each season. In the current season of 2025-2026, Moro has already made 16 appearances and matched his single goal run.
By July 2023, Moro's loan move turned permanent with a transfer fee of about £5.2m, paid from Dynamo Moscow to Bologna. His seasons at Bologna remained consistent, marking his presence in the field and scoring. Additionally, he represented Croatia in the World Cup Qualifiers Europe 2024-2026, with two starts and two substitute appearances, the Nations League 2024-2025 with two substitute appearances, and Bologna in the Supercoppa 2025-2026 with one start and substitute appearance each, and the Europa League 2025-2026 with four starts and a substitution appearance.
