Nikola Moro, born 12 March 1998 (age 28), is a Croatian defensive midfielder whose senior career has come to rest most clearly at Bologna. There was an earlier productive spell at Dynamo Moscow, notably in 2020-21, when he scored three league goals in 24 appearances, but that now reads more like the route in than the main story.
Bologna has given Moro the sustained platform. Wearing number six, he has made 101 league appearances across four seasons, scoring three league goals, and has become a regular part of the midfield rather than a passing option on the squad sheet. His current market value is around £5.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
That relevance has continued in 2025-26. Moro has made 30 Serie A appearances, scoring once, and has also featured in the Coppa Italia, the Supercoppa and 11 Europa League matches. Across all competitions for Bologna this season, he has made 44 appearances and scored one goal. He has also remained involved with Croatia, with four European World Cup qualifying appearances.
Moro’s career is therefore a fairly clear one: a Croatian midfielder who had a useful spell in Russia, then became an established first-team player at Bologna, where he remains a regular presence.
