The Danish midfield maestro, Nikolas Nartey, born on the 22nd of February in the year of 2000, now 25 years of age, rules the midfield for Stuttgart. This substantial lad stands at 6 feet (1.85m) tall, and weighs in at 12st 8lb (80kg). He dons the number 28 jersey with pride and has had the honour of representing the Denmark national team.
Nartey's prowess on the pitch is evident in his current market value of around £1.7m - a figure courtesy of the well-acknowledged website, Transfermarkt.
Tracing back to Nartey's humble beginnings, he transferred from FC Copenhagen in the Danish Superliga to FC Cologne in the German Bundesliga back in January 2017. The transaction was sealed for an approximate fee of £340k. In his inaugural seasons of 2017 through to 2019 in Cologne, Nartey managed to make a pair of first-team appearances in league action.
As the seasons rolled by, Nartey found a new home in German football when he was transferred to Stuttgart, again in the Bundesliga, with the fee remaining undisclosed in August 2019. He seemed to find his footing at Stuttgart, with season 2021-202 seeing him earn eight first team league appearances, increasing to nine in the subsequent season. He is currently amid the 2025-2026 season, having already made 18 first team appearances and even chipping in with a goal.
Worth noting is Nartey's two temporary stints away from Stuttgart. In August 2019, he took a break from Stuttgart's intense football environment and transferred to Hansa Rostock in Germany's 3. Liga on a loan deal. It was a successful spell with 19 first-team league appearances logged and a goal scored. A year later, in July 2020, he was again loaned out from Stuttgart, this time to Sandhausen in the Regionalliga Südwest, where he bagged 24 caps.
Nartey's journey with Stuttgart has been a spectrum of experiences. Besides league matches, he was able to participate in the DFL-Supercup 2025-2026 for Stuttgart with one substitute appearance, and the Europa League 2025-2026 with three substitute appearances. A promising player indeed, Nartey's career trajectory is one to watch.
