Nilson Angulo, born on 19 June 2003 (age 22), is an Ecuadorian left winger now with Sunderland, where he wears the number 10 shirt. His current market value is around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His senior career has been shaped mainly at Anderlecht. Across four seasons with the Belgian club, Angulo made 55 league appearances and scored eight league goals. That is where most of the evidence on him sits – not as a finished article, but as a wide player who has had enough football to be judged beyond promise alone.
His most productive spell came in 2025-26, when he scored six times in 22 league appearances for Anderlecht. He then added eight league appearances for Sunderland in the same season, a move into English football that will test whether that improvement travels.
Angulo has also been involved with Ecuador, making four appearances in South American World Cup qualifying this season. At this stage, his career is still developing, but the bulk of it remains tied to Anderlecht, with Sunderland now the next measure of his progress.
