Philip Billing, born on the 11th of June 1996 in Denmark, is a robust presence in the field as a central midfielder for FC Midtjylland. Standing at 6ft 5in (1.97m) tall and weighing 12st 8lb (80kg), he dons the number 8 jersey with fervour.
As of now, his market value is estimated at around £8.5m, courtesy of Transfermarkt.
Reminiscent about his career trajectory, we can trace back his debut in English football to July 2013 when he joined Huddersfield Town in League One. Despite a humbling start with only one league appearance in his debut season 2013-14, by the 2015-16 season, he began to find his footing as seen by thirteen first team appearances and one goal. Over the following seasons he continued to accumulate more game time and add to his goal tally.
Then in July 2019, Billing moved up the ladder when he was transferred to Bournemouth in the Premier League for a fee of around £15m. With Bournemouth, he made a considerable number of appearances and solid performances with a consistent scoring record in the league before he briefly left England for Italy on a loan spell.
In January 2025, he was loaned out to Napoli in the Serie A, where he made ten first team appearances and scored one goal. By June, however, he was back at Bournemouth on completion of his loan.
Then in August 2025, Billing took the leap to FC Midtjylland in the Danish Superliga, transferring from Bournemouth for a fee of around £4.3m. In his current season 2025-26 at FC Midtjylland, he has already made nine first team appearances and scored one goal in league matches. Furthermore, he has also competed in the Europa League 2025-26 for FC Midtjylland, where he notched up a goal in four starts.
