Riccardo Orsolini, born on 24 January 1997 (age 29), is an Italian right winger whose career has been shaped far more by Bologna than by any passing stop on the way. His early loan football gave him the senior minutes needed to settle into the professional game, but Bologna is where the career properly took hold.
Across nine seasons with the club, Orsolini has made 273 league appearances and scored 75 league goals. That is not a cameo stretched out by circumstance; it is the body of work of a player who has remained useful, trusted and productive over a long spell in Serie A. His best league return came in 2024–25, when he scored 15 times in 30 appearances.
He remains a regular part of the side in 2025–26. Wearing number 7, he has made 35 Serie A appearances and scored 10 league goals, with further contributions in the Coppa Italia, Supercoppa and Europa League taking him to 51 appearances and 14 goals for Bologna in all competitions. He has also been involved with Italy in World Cup qualifying this season.
His current market value is around £21.5m, according to Transfermarkt. Orsolini’s career is, in plain terms, that of a long-serving Bologna winger who has turned development time into sustained top-flight relevance.
