Rudi Molotnikov, born in Scotland on 23 May 2006, is a 19-year-old midfielder. Standing 5ft 10in (1.79m) tall and hitting the scales at 10st 5lb (66kg), Molotnikov primarily plays as a central attacking midfielder. Currently plying his trade in the Scottish Premiership with Hibernian, he's often seen donning the number 35 jersey.
It was in July 2021 when Molotnikov linked up with Hibernian. His debut season (2023-2024) saw him spend much of his time breaking into the first team, managing three league appearances. The follow-up season brought more exposure with the midfielder featuring in 11 league matches. Into the current term, the 2025-2026 season, Molotnikov has thus far added another three first-team league appearances to his count.
His journey wasn't without its hurdles. A significant one came in February 2024 when, fresh from making his maiden impacts at Hibernian, Molotnikov was shipped off on loan to Stirling Albion in League Two. Nonetheless, he was back at Hibernian by June 2024, returning from his temporary stint at the lower-division outfit, and ready to continue building his presence in the top-tier Premiership side.
It appears as though Molotnikov's appearances aren't only confined to the league format. The League Cup of the current 2025-2026 season has witnessed his participation, having already featured once as a substitute for Hibernian. As young Molotnikov's career unfolds, we shall certainly be keeping tabs on his progression.
