Sam Fisher is a Scottish central defender, born on 26 July 2001 (age 24), now with Airdrieonians. His career has been shaped less by noise than by steady lower-league work, with Dunfermline Athletic the club most closely attached to his name.
His early senior football came through the loan route and first-team exposure at Dundee, where he made six league appearances in 2022-23. It was a modest platform, but a useful one for a defender still finding the speed and awkwardness of senior football.
Dunfermline became the main stretch of his career. Across four seasons he made 44 league appearances, without turning himself into a goalscoring centre-half, which is not exactly a scandal.
