Scott McKenna, born on 12 November 1996 (age 29), is a Scotland centre-half with Dinamo Zagreb. He came through at Aberdeen, with early loan spells giving him the sort of senior football that tends to sort defenders out quickly enough. They were not headline moves, but they mattered.
His Aberdeen breakthrough came properly in 2017-18, his most productive league season, when he scored three goals in 30 appearances. From there he moved into English football with Nottingham Forest, before later spells with Copenhagen and Las Palmas took his career beyond the usual Scottish route.
At Dinamo Zagreb in 2025-26, McKenna remains a regular first-team presence. He has made 30 HNL appearances, scoring twice, and has also played 10 times in the Europa League, giving him 40 appearances and two goals across all competitions for the club. He has also stayed involved with Scotland, making five appearances in European World Cup qualifying this season.
