Born on 27th July 2001 in the Highlands of Scotland, Scott Robertson is a nimble central defensive midfielder, currently showcasing his deftness within the neutral and often challenging setting of Notts County. Standing at an imposing height of 6ft (1.85m) tall and maintaining a lean weight of 11st (70kg), his physical strength undoubtedly adds to the robustness of his skill set. Robertson's number 20 jersey has become synonymous with his presence on the pitch.
Robertson’s journey started in July 2018, when he was absorbed into the vibrant and energetic setting of Celtic as a trainee. A Premiership club in Scotland, Celtic offered Scott a platform to train and evolve, nurturing his raw talents into a more refined and controlled mannerism of play.
He soon embarked on a lending spree, making his first move in September 2020 to Gillingham, a League Two club in England. He returned briefly to Celtic in January 2021, only to be swiftly loaned out again, this time to Doncaster Rovers, another English club residing within League One. June 2021 saw him return once again to Celtic, allowing him a small window to reconnect with his Scottish roots. Robertson was then loaned out in August 2021 to Crewe Alexandra, yet another League Two club in England. By June 2022, he found himself, once more, amidst the familiarity of Celtic, following the completion of his loan.
In January 2023, Robertson made a permanent move away from Celtic, joining Fleetwood Town, a League Two club in England. During his debut season in 2022-2023, he established a humble but solid presence, making nine appearances in league matches. In January 2024, a new opportunity presented itself, seeing Robertson transferred yet again, this time to Notts County, also of League Two renown in England. His current season, 2025-2026, has been fruitful, within eleven appearances he has managed to find the back of the net for the first time, a promising start for any midfielder.
His journey hasn't been confined to the league alone. The young Scot has had experience in the League Two playoffs, making an appearance as a substitute for Notts County in 2024-2025. He also had the privilege of participating in the EFL Trophy 2025-2026, where he made both a start and an appearance as a substitute, again for Notts County. His performances suggest this midfielder certainly has more to offer.
