Scott Tanser, an English-born defender, was born on the 23rd of October, 1994, making him 29 years of age. Standing at a respectable 5ft 11in (1.81m) and weighing in at 11st 2lb (71kg), Tanser primarily fills the role of left back for St Mirren, donning the number 3 jersey as he does so.
In the current 2024-2025 season, Tanser has made a modest contribution to St Mirren’s Premiership campaign with two starts under his belt. The same season also saw him start once in the League Cup, and in the previous year's Scottish Cup, Tanser started twice. Tanser also had the chance to make a mark in the Conference League Qualifiers 2024-2025, albeit via a single substitute appearance for St Mirren.
Tanser’s professional career kicked off back in the 2012-2013 season with Rochdale in England where he made a lone first team appearance. The 2014-2015 season saw him become a more regular figure on the field with 30 appearances and a single goal. The following seasons were less eventful for Tanser in Rochdale with token appearances over two seasons.
In the 2016-2017 season, Tanser found himself at Port Vale in England, making 11 appearances for the first team.
Tanser made the move north to Scotland, signing for St Johnstone in the 2017-2018 season. Over four seasons with St Johnstone, Tanser made over a hundred first-team appearances netting five goals in return.
Since the 2021-2022 season, Tanser has been serving St Mirren. He had a noteworthy debut season with 31 first team appearances and two goals. In the following two seasons, Tanser chalked up 68 appearances for St Mirren, while enhancing his reputation as a reliable defender. The current season has seen him make a couple of Premiership outings thus far.
