Sivert Mannsverk, born on 8 May 2002 (age 24), is a Norwegian central defensive midfielder with Ajax. He is a tidy, positionally minded player rather than the sort whose reputation is built on showy moments, which is usually no bad thing in that role.
His most productive league season came early, with Sogndal in 2020, when he scored four goals in 28 appearances. That remains the clearest attacking return of his senior career, though his main work has been in screening, recycling possession and keeping the midfield joined up.
At Ajax, Mannsverk is part of a club where young midfielders are judged quickly and often rather severely. His current market value is around £3.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Mannsverk’s career so far has moved from early senior football in Norway to a higher-profile role in Amsterdam. He is still in the building stage of his career, with enough experience to be established but not yet enough to be treated as a finished article.
